Indian Navy SSR Recruitment Details
As per the Indian Navy Agniveer Eligibility Criteria, candidates with specific educational qualifications are eligible to apply. The eligibility depends on nationality, age limit, educational qualification, and physical/medical standards.
- Agniveer (SSR): 10+2 with Mathematics & Physics from a recognized board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. OR 3-year Engineering Diploma in relevant fields with 50%. OR 2-year Vocational Course with Physics & Math with 50%.
- SSR (Med): 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a recognized board with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.

Selection Process of Navy SSR Recruitment
Indian Navy SSR Recruitment consists of following stages –
- Stage I – INET (Computer-Based Test) Online objective exam to shortlist candidates for Stage II.
- Stage II – Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Qualifying test including a 1.6km run, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups.
- Stage II – Written Exam Another objective-type exam for those who qualify in the PFT.
- Recruitment Medical Examination Medical check-up as per Indian Navy standards.
- Provisional Select List Merit list prepared based on Stage II written exam, subject to qualifying PFT and Medical.
Physical Eligibility Details
- Navy Agniveer Height: 157 Cms for Male & 152 cms for Female
- Navy Agniveer Running: 1.6 Km. Completed in 6:30 Minutes for Male & 8 Minutes for Female
- Navy Agniveer Squat Ups (Uthak Baithak) : 20 Times for Male & 15 Minutes for Female
- Navy Agniveer Push Ups: 15 Times for Male & 10 Times for Female
- Navy Agniveer Bent Knee Sit-ups: 15 Times for Male & 10 Times for Female
Indian Navy SSR Salary
Selected Agniveers will receive a monthly package of ₹30,000 in the first year, with fixed yearly increments. A one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package is also provided upon completion of the four-year tenure. They are also entitled to a non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 Lakhs.
