ISRO Recruitment
ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bengaluru, under the Department of Space, Government of India, has invited online applications for recruitment to the posts of Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant-A, Technician-B, Draughtsman-B and Cook-A. The application process for ISRO ISTRAC Recruitment 2026 will commence from 27th June to 20th July 2026.
Educational Qualification: The candidates who are willing to apply for the ISRO ISTRAC Vacancy 2026 must make sure they fulfil the required eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age limit to be eligible to apply.
- Technician-B (Electronics Mechanic) 8 Posts: SSLC/SSC/Matriculation + ITI/NTC/NAC in Electronics Mechanic or related trade from NCVT
- Technician-B (Carpenter) 1 Posts: SSLC/SSC/Matriculation + ITI/NTC/NAC in Carpenter trade from NCVT
- Draughtsman-B (Civil/Mechanical) 2 Posts: SSLC/SSC/Matriculation + ITI/NTC/NAC in Draughtsman Civil/Mechanical trade from NCVT
- Technical Assistant (Electronics) 6 Posts: First Class Diploma in Electronics from a recognized State Board
- Technical Assistant (Mechanical) 1 Posts: First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized State Board
- Scientific Assistant (Computer Science) 4 Posts: First Class B.Sc with Computer Science as main subject
- Scientific Assistant (Mathematics) 1 Posts: First Class B.Sc with Mathematics as main subject
- Library Assistant-A 1 Posts: First Class Graduation + First Class Master’s degree in Library Science/Library & Information Science or equivalent
- Cook-A 2 Posts: SSLC/SSC Pass or equivalent + 5 years’ experience as a cook in a well-established hotel/canteen (individual experience certificates not accepted)
Age Limit
The age of applicants should be between 18 to 35 years as of the closing date of the application 20th July 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms for reserved categories, ex-servicemen, and persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD).
ISRO Recruitment Salary
The selected candidates will be paid as per the following pay levels and approximate gross emoluments.

ISRO Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for the various Non-Executive posts consists of the following stages:
Initial Screening – Based on academic performance and other parameters furnished by candidates in the online application; only screened-in candidates will be called for the Written Test/CBT.
Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT) –

Pass Criteria (Written Test/CBT):

Skill Test – Conducted on a go-no-go (qualifying) basis for 100 marks. For Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant-A, Technician-B, and Draughtsman-B, candidates need 50/100 marks (40/100 for reserved candidates, if the post is reserved) to qualify. For Cook-A, candidates need 60/100 marks to qualify, with no relaxation for any category.
Candidates qualifying in the Written Test/CBT will be shortlisted for the Skill Test in a 1:5 ratio, with a minimum of 10 candidates. Final selection is based purely on marks obtained in the Written Test/CBT among those who qualify the Skill Test. In case of a tie, academic scores in the essential qualification will be the tie-breaker; for Technician-B and Draughtsman-B, candidates with a valid NAC score will be preferred over those without one.
Note: The Written Test/CBT will be conducted in Bengaluru or various cities across India, in Hindi or English medium as per the candidate’s choice. The Skill Test will be conducted only in Bengaluru.
ISRO Recruitment Application Fee
The processing fee is refunded only to candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT. Women, SC/ST/PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates exempted from the application fee will get a full refund of the processing fee; all other candidates will get a refund after deducting the applicable application fee (Rs. 500/- refunded for Technical/Scientific/Library Assistant posts; Rs. 400/- refunded for Technician-B/Draughtsman-B/Cook-A posts).
