SBI Clerk Education Qualification
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2025.
- Final Year Candidates: Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2025.
SBI Clerk Recruitment Age Limit
Age Limit: Candidates age should not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2025, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1997 and not later than 01.04.2005 (both days inclusive).
Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the reserved categories as given below.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: Up to 10-15 years (depending on category)
Selection Process for SBI Clerk Recruitment
The recruitment process includes three main stages:
- Preliminary Examination: This is a one-hour online test with questions on English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Each section has a specific time limit. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their total marks.
- Main Examination: A more detailed test that includes topics like General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, & Computer Aptitude. The marks from this exam will decide the final merit list.
- Language Proficiency Test: The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
