CBSE 10th Result 2026

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 10 Phase 1 board exam results on 15th April 2026. The Phase 1 board exams were conducted from 17th February to 11th March 2026 across 8,075 examination centres covering 83 subjects. A total of 24,12,072 students had registered for this examination.

This year, CBSE has introduced a two-board examination system for Class 10 for the first time. Under this system, students who are not satisfied with their Phase 1 scores can appear for Phase 2 exams scheduled from 15th May to 1st June 2026. Students are allowed to appear for improvement in up to three subjects in Phase 2. This gives students a second chance to improve their performance without losing an academic year.

CBSE 10th Result Dates and Time

CBSE Two-Board Exam System 2026

From 2026, CBSE has introduced a two-board examination system for Class 10. Under this system, the academic year is split into two separate examination sessions. The Phase 1 exams were held from 17th February to 11th March 2026, and the Phase 2 exams are scheduled from 15th May to 1st June 2026.

Students who want to improve their Phase 1 scores can appear for Phase 2 in up to three subjects. The better of the two scores will be considered for the final result. Students who received a compartment in Phase 1 can also use the Phase 2 exam as a supplementary attempt. However, students who failed or were absent in three or more subjects in Phase 1 are not eligible for Phase 2 and will need to appear in the main board exam in 2027.
