Educational Qualification
- General / EWS candidates: Must have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.
- OBC (NCL) / SC / ST / PwD / PwBD / Third Gender: Must have secured at least 50% marks in Master’s Degree or equivalent.
- Final year Master’s students or candidates awaiting results are also eligible to apply provisionally.
- Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree holders with a minimum of 75% marks are eligible for JRF and Ph.D. admission.

NTA UGC Examination Selection
The UGC NET June 2026 selection process involves a Computer-Based Test (CBT) comprising two papers:
