Selection Process for SBI Clerk
The selection process for the SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 is comprehensive, ensuring that candidates are evaluated thoroughly across multiple stages. Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying aggregate marks as decided by the Bank. However, there are no minimum qualifying marks for individual sections.
3. Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates who qualify for selection and provide proof (10th or 12th standard mark sheet) of having studied the specified local language will not need to take this test.
For others, a Local Language Test will be conducted to assess proficiency in the regional language of the State/UT they are applying for. This test is qualifying in nature, and failure to clear it will result in disqualification.
Final Selection
- The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be considered for the final merit list.
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination.
- Provisional selection will depend on document verification and qualifying in the Local Language Test (where applicable).
Waitlist: A state-wise and category-wise waitlist of up to 50% of vacancies will be maintained for one year.
Negative Marking: Applicable in both Preliminary and Main Examinations.
Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of a tie, candidates older in age will be given preference.
