Pay Scale: The SBI Probationary Officer pay scale is Rs. 48,480-2000/7-62,480-2340/2-67,160-2680/7-85,920. Thus, the starting basic pay is Rs.48,480/- (plus 4 advance increments)
SBI PO Recruitment Qualification
Candidates holding professional qualifications such as Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy, or Cost Accountancy, as well as those with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) passed by the cut-off date, are also eligible.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government as of 30th September 2026.
- Final Year Candidates: Candidates in the final year or semester of their graduation are eligible to apply provisionally. However, they must provide proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 30th September 2026 if called for the interview.
SBI PO Recruitment Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of 30th April 2026. They should have been born no earlier than 2nd April 1996 and no later than 1st April 2005 (both dates inclusive).
Relaxation in the upper age limit will be given to the reserved categories as given below.
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: Up to 10-15 years (depending on category)
SBI PO Recruitment Selection
The recruitment process includes three main stages:
- Preliminary Examination: This is a one-hour online test with questions on English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Each section has a specific time limit. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their total marks.
- Main Examination: A more detailed test that includes topics like General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, & Computer Aptitude. The marks from this exam will decide the final merit list.
- Group Discussion or Personal Interview
