SSB HC Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process for SSB Head Constable is a multi-stage process:
Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST): This is a qualifying stage.
- PET (Male): 1.6 Km race in 6 minutes 30 seconds.
- PET (Female): 800 Meter race in 4 minutes.
- Note: Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET.
- PST: Candidates must meet the minimum physical standards (height, chest) as prescribed in the notification. Community-specific relaxations apply.
Stage 2: Written Examination: Candidates who qualify in PET/PST will appear for a written exam. The exam will consist of two parts:
- Part I: General Hindi, General English, General Awareness, Logic & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
- Part II: (For relevant trades) Technical Subject related to the post applied for.

Selected candidates for the posts of Sub Inspector will get the salary according to the 7th Central Pay Commission. Head Constable will get the salary according to Pay Level-4.
