The Railway Recruitment Boards have released the official Centralised Employment Notification CEN No. 09/2025 for the recruitment of 22,195 posts in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix across various units of Indian Railways. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their online applications through the official RRB websites before 2 March 2026. The application process started from 31 January 2026.
The recruitment is being conducted for various posts including Assistant TRD, Assistant Operations (Electrical), Assistant TL and AC, Assistant (S and T), Pointsman B, Assistant Track Machine, Trackmaintainer-IV, Assistant Bridge, Assistant Carriage and Wagon, Assistant Loco Shed (Electrical), Assistant P.Way, and Assistant Operations (Electrical). RRB Group D Selection Process
The selection process for Railway RRB Group D posts under CEN 09/2025 will be announced in the detailed notification. Historically, the selection for Level-1 posts has involved:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): Single or multi-stage examination covering various subjects
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): To assess physical fitness of candidates

The application fee for the RRB Recruitment 2026 is based on the candidate’s category. Candidates have to pay an application fee as mentioned below:
