Coal India Limited Recruitment Selection Process
The selection for Management Trainee posts will be based only on the Computer Based Online Test (CBT). No interview will be held.
Exam Pattern: 3-hour CBT with two papers of 100 marks each (Total 200 marks).
- Paper-I: General Knowledge/Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General English (100 MCQs).
- Paper-II: Professional Knowledge (Discipline related – 100 MCQs).
Marking Scheme: +1 mark for each correct answer; no negative marking for wrong answers.
Qualifying Marks per Paper:
- UR/EWS: Minimum 40 marks
- OBC (NCL): Minimum 35 marks
- SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 30 marks
Final Merit List: Based solely on total marks obtained in CBT. Tie-breaking for CS discipline: preference to candidates with experience in a listed company.
Coal India Limited Recruitment Salary
Appointed candidates must serve a minimum of 60 months. A service bond of ₹3 lakhs is to be executed at joining. ₹5,000 per month will be deducted towards bond money, refundable (without interest) after completion of 60 months of service.
- Pay Scale: ₹60,000 – 1,80,000 (E-1 grade). Initial basic pay during training: ₹60,000 per month.
- Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance, HRA, cafeteria allowances, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Leave, Medical facilities, CMPF, Gratuity, Executive Defined Contribution Pension Scheme, etc.
