TRBT Recruitment Details
Teacher’s Recruitment Board, Tripura – TRBT has invited applications for recruitment to the post of Graduate Teacher & Under Graduate Teacher is available on the TRBT website.
Under-Graduate Teacher – UGT (for Classes I-V):
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or 1 year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05) (by whatever name known).
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE
- (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002 (or one year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (or 1 year Diploma in Education up to academic session 2004-05) (by whatever name known).
- Passed Tripura -Teachers Eligibility Test (T-TET) Paper-I and obtained certificate issued by TRBT.
Graduate Teacher – GT (for Classes VI-VII):
- Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, (or 1 year Diploma in Education up
to academic session 2004-05) (by whatever name known). - At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.) (Special Education).
- Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.- M.Ed.
- Passed Tripura-Teachers Eligibility Test (T-TET) Paper-II and obtained certificate issued by TRBT.
Desirable Qualification: Having knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok.
- Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) would be required while applying for jobs by direct recruitment under the State Government, Corporations, Boards, PSUs etc.
NB: Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks will be allowed to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category.

TRBT Recruitment Age Limit
- Min. age 18 to 40 years as on 21st February 2026.
- Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PH and Government Servant provided that government employees belonging to SC/ST/PH category will not get relaxation over and above general relaxation of 5 years available to them.
- Upper age limit is also relaxable for Ex-Serviceman (ESM) as per norms.
TRBT Recruitment UGT & GT Salary Details
- Under-Graduate Teacher(for Class I-V):Rs. 16,050/- (Revised) fixed per month being 75% of the basic pay as per Level-7 of Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018. (Group -C Non-Gazetted)
- Graduate Teacher(for Class VI-VIII):Pay: Rs. 20,475/-(revised) fixed per month being 75 % of basic pay as per Level-9 of Tripura State Pay Matrix, 2018. (Group -C NonGazetted).

TRBT Recruitment Selection Process
The selection will be based on the marks obtained in the “Graduate Teacher & Under Graduate Teacher 2026”, subject to:
- Written Examination 150 MCQ
- Scrutiny of certificates/documents/mark sheets
- Verification of correctness of information provided by candidates in the online application form
Minimum Marks Requirement:
- Candidates must secure at least 50% marks (75 out of 150) in the test.
- Relaxation: 5% relaxation (68 out of 150) for SC/ST/PH candidates.
Merit & Recommendation:
- Recommendations for recruitment will be based on merit and the number of vacant posts.
- Candidates scoring the minimum qualifying marks (75 or 68, as applicable) may not necessarily be recommended for recruitment, as it depends on the vacancy position.
