NTPC Eligibility Education Qualification
Candidates must hold a full-time B.E./B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks in the relevant discipline from a recognized institution:
- Electrical: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics
- Mechanical: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production
- C&I: B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, or Instrumentation
Experience Requirement:
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification executive experience in the power sector (Coal/Gas/Lignite) in operations, maintenance, commissioning, erection, or engineering in power plants/projects of capacity 200 MW or more.
For candidates in PSUs/Government:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pay scale of ₹60,000–1,80,000 (IDA E3 grade or above) is mandatory.
- A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is required.
For candidates in Private Sector:
- Must provide Form 16 for the last 3 financial years.

- Upper Age Limit: 40 years as of the last date of application.
