NCERT Recruitment
Educational qualifications and experience requirements are post-specific. Candidates must refer to Part-II of the official notification for detailed eligibility for each post (Post Code 1 to 47). Essential qualifications range from ITI/12th pass to Master’s Degree/M.Tech with relevant experience.
- Superintending Engineer: M.Tech/B.Tech in relevant field with 10-12 years experience in media/ICT.
- Production Officer: Bachelor’s in Printing Tech/Diploma with 8 years exp.
- Junior Hindi Translator: Master’s in Hindi/English with translation diploma/experience.
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 10+2 pass with typing speed (35 wpm Eng/30 wpm Hindi).
- Lab Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant subject.
Age Limit
The age limit varies for different posts as per the 7th CPC level. Maximum age limits are:

NCERT Recruitment Salary
Selected candidates will be placed in the respective Pay Level as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, along with applicable allowances (DA, HRA, TA, etc.) as per NCERT rules. Approximate gross monthly emoluments at the entry level for key groups:
- Group A (Level 10-12): Rs. 97,000 – 1,30,000/- Per Month
- Group B (Level 6-7): Rs. 45,000 – 55,000/- Per Month
- Group C (Level 2-4): Rs. 25,000 – 35,000/- Per Month
NCERT Recruitment Selection Process
The selection process consists of one or more of the following stages, depending on the post:
- Written Examination (Computer Based Test)
- Skill/Proficiency/Trade Test
- Interview
The final merit list will be prepared based on performance in the respective stages. NCERT reserves the right to modify the selection process or cancel any post without prior notice.
