IB ACIO Recruitment Details
1. Assistant Central IB Officer – ACIO-II Tech
Essential: Candidates must have achieved the qualifying cut-off marks in GATE in the years 2023 or 2024 or 2025 in either Electronics & Communication (EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (CS).
Degree: Along with the GATE score, candidates must possess:
- B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields (Electronics, ECE, CSE, IT, etc.) OR
- M.Sc in Electronics/Computer Science or MCA from a Government recognized University/Institute.
Age Limit
The candidate must be between 18 to 27 years of age as on 16.11.2025.
Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. Other relaxations apply for Departmental Candidates, Widows/Divorced women, Ex-servicemen, and Meritorious Sportspersons as per Government rules.

IB ACIO Selection Process
The selection process for ACIO-II Tech involves three stages:
- GATE Score Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted (10 times the number of vacancies) based on their valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 score.
- Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a practical-based technical Skill Test.
- Interview: The final stage is an interview to assess subject knowledge and communication skills.
The final merit list will be prepared out of 1175 marks, with weightage given to GATE Score (750 marks), Skill Test (250 marks), and Interview (175 marks).
IB ACIO Tech Salary 2025
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) of the pay matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. In addition to the basic pay, they will be eligible for various Central Government allowances, including:
- Special Security Allowance @ 20% of basic pay.
- Cash compensation in lieu of duty on holidays (up to 30 days).
