Swimari Writing System or Kokborok Script is a constructed script and is solely developed for writing Kokborok Language with high efficiency.
Like other Indian Writing Systems, Swimari also follows the Abugida system for writing and left-to-right direction.
Swimari is inspired by the ancient Brahmi Script.
Swimari has 6 (six) Vowels and 20 (twenty) Consonants. Out of these consonants, four have their own half-consonants.
Swimari also have a symbol to differentiate between tonal words.
Swimari has simple characters with less strokes to make it easier to learn and write.
Swimari has solved the problems and issues faced by other self-developed Writing Systems made for Kokborok Language.
- “Swimari Script” is for those people who wants an alternative writing system other than ‘Roman’, ‘Eastern Nagari’ & ‘Devanagari’ for Kokborok Language.
